Our client is an international leading manufacturing company with offices in Italy, France, Malta, Cyprus, Switzerland, and Belgium. With their wide range of high-quality and handmade products, such as home furniture,  they value quality and professionalism above all. They are currently looking to hire an exceptional Shop Manager for their shop in Limassol.

To be successful as a Shop Manager, the person should have a track record of team motivation and positive sales results. They  should display excellent interpersonal skills to build quality relationships with the team and with customers, be goal-driven, and manage the day-to-day activities of the team efficiently. The Shop Manager will be reporting to the Head of Cyprus.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Head of Cyprus when required.
  • Keeping up with brand guidelines.
  • Managing the day-to-day activities of the team.
  • Engaging and motivating the team to achieve company’s goals.
  • Developing and implementing a timeline to achieve targets.
  • Delegating tasks to team members.
  • Recruiting, training, supervising and appraising staff.
  • Training new recruits.
  • Identifying and conducting training along the Team Leader of team members to maximize their potential.
  • Obtaining input and settling disputes.
  • Taking any disciplinary action when required and leading by example.
  • Meeting the team on a monthly basis to discuss the target achievements and any other matters.
  • Assisting staff to close sales, handling difficult client and following the company procedures.
  • Monitoring stock levels and purchases and ensuring they stay within budget.
  • Communicating in a transparent and constructive manner.
  • Enabling each employee to realise his or her own potential and advance within the organisation.
  • Overseeing pricing and stock control.
  • Empowering and supporting team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.
  • Contributing to the growth of the company through a successful team.
  • Creating a pleasant working environment that inspires the team.
  • Making sure the premises are clean, products are in perfect condition, pricing, and communication tags.
  • Opening and closing the store on time.
  • Managing budgets, maintaining statistical and financial records.
  • Dealing with customer queries and complaints.
  • Maximising profitability and setting/meeting sales targets, including motivating staff to do so.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • Preparing promotional materials and displays.
  • Working on own initiative within company guidelines and policies - consulting with the Head of Cyprus where necessary.
  • Liaising with head office of Cyprus and with Malta when needed.
  • Managing the monthly scheduling.
  • Handling after-sales support.
  • Working and accessing IT infrastructure.
  • Motivating the team performance towards reaching targets, selling processes, etc. in collaboration with manager.
  • Will need to travel.
  • Adhering to company's values.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as Retail Manager or experience in a similar role.
  • On-the-job training.
  • Computer literate..
  • Previous experience with an ERP system
  • Strong organizational skills to give the team direction.
  • Hands-on approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Team player and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Self-motivated, passionate, reliable, flexible, resilient and takes initiative.
  • Eager to learn and to deliver on expectations.
