Our client is a service and trading company specializing in the broad field of marine engineering. Headquartered in the coastal city of Gdańsk, Poland, the company provides services to clients worldwide.

Its service activities focus on four core areas: engines and generator sets, propulsion systems, hydraulic systems, and automation. The company carries out work on all types of vessels, serving shipowners, fleet management companies, and shipyards across the globe.

In addition, our client maintains partnership agreements with several leading manufacturers in the marine industry. Its portfolio of authorizations has been carefully structured to enable the delivery of complete propulsion systems to customers. Through these partnerships, the company operates both as an authorized service provider for its partners’ equipment and as a dealer, supplying machinery and spare parts from both authorized and non-authorized networks.

They’re currently looking for an Area Sales Manager to assist them with their expansion in the Cyprus market. Sales activities are divided into three main segments: service sales, spare parts sales, and equipment sales. Equipment sales are handled by dedicated Technical Sales Engineers, while service and spare parts sales are managed by Area Sales Managers responsible for specific geographical territories.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop relationships with clients, including fleet managers, shipowners, and shipyards
  • Actively acquire new clients in Cyprus, identifying potential projects and new areas of cooperation
  • Sell service offerings and specialized technical solution
  • Conduct meetings, presentations, and commercial negotiations
  • Collaborate closely with the technical team and Sales Support Department
  • Analyze the market and monitor competitors’ activities, proposing sales initiatives and regional development strategies
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and conferences
  • Proactively resolve customer issues and identify effective solutions

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in B2B sales, preferably in service offerings and/or complex technical solutions
  • Knowledge of the maritime, offshore, and/or industrial mechanics sectors
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at various levels of client organizations and with business partners
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and commercial meeting skills
  • Decisive, proactive, and solution-oriented, especially in situations requiring quick responses
  • Experience managing diverse tasks and working in a fast-changing environment
  • Proficiency in English sufficient for negotiations and business communication
  • Experience working with a CRM system
