Our client is a technology company providing payment infrastructure to a range of businesses, including payment service providers, platforms, and merchants. Its solution enables clients to manage multiple providers, payment methods, routing, reporting, reconciliation, and operational workflows through a unified orchestration layer.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Head of Product to define and drive the company’s product strategy and roadmap. This role sits at the intersection of market insight, customer needs, commercial priorities, and product development.

You will play a key role in shaping what the business builds next—identifying target markets, prioritizing payment capabilities, and evolving the platform to support growth opportunities.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of the payments landscape and is able to assess new industries, geographies, business models, and risk considerations, translating these insights into clear product direction and effective go-to-market strategies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Define and own the overall product roadmap, priorities, and strategic direction
  • Conduct in-depth research on payment markets, providers, methods, competitors, regulations, and emerging trends
  • Identify opportunities for expansion across markets, providers, payment methods, and product capabilities
  • Translate market insights and customer needs into clear product requirements and specifications
  • Collaborate closely with engineering on core platform features, including routing, checkout, integrations, reporting, reconciliation, and risk controls
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new products, markets, and payment capabilities
  • Establish and track key product and payment performance metrics
  • Balance commercial goals, customer needs, technical constraints, compliance requirements, and long-term platform scalability

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior product role within payments, fintech, banking, acquiring, PSPs, payment gateways, PayFacs, or similar infrastructure environments
  • Strong product strategy and market research capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing product roadmaps from discovery through launch
  • Deep understanding of payment ecosystems, including flows, provider integrations, checkout, routing, reconciliation, reporting, and merchant operations
  • Ability to evaluate new markets, industries, geographies, and business models, and translate insights into product and go-to-market strategies
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with leadership, engineering, commercial, operations, and customers
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to manage trade-offs between product, technical, and commercial considerations
Preferred Background
  • Experience within PSPs, acquirers, payment gateways, banks, fintechs, orchestration platforms, embedded finance providers, or similar payment-focused organizations
  • Exposure to multiple industries and the ability to adapt product strategy across different market requirements
