Our client is a fast-growing company in the Cyprus property market, offering services in sales, rentals, management, and construction. They are seeking a Legal Advisor to provide expert support across all real estate operations.

Position Summary:
The Legal Advisor will handle drafting and negotiating contracts, conducting due diligence for property transactions, and ensuring legal compliance. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams, guiding processes across sales, rentals, management, and construction. This position is ideal for a proactive legal professional looking to contribute to a dynamic and expanding organisation in the real estate sector.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various legal documents, including but not limited to contracts of sale, share purchase agreements, consideration and lease agreements.
  • Assist in legal due diligence on acquisitions of new property.
  • Prepare clients KYC and Source of Funds prior to transactions.
  • Liaise with the Tax Department and Land Registry and municipality to facilitate clearances prior to transactions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and project management, to provide legal advice and guidance on business activities.
  • Work closely with external law firms to manage negotiations, draft agreements, and ensure legal accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the team with various tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of legal experience, ideally in the real estate sector, either in a law firm or the construction and development sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Cyprus law, particularly in real estate law.
  • Preferably with a solid understanding and practical experience in contract and tax law, enhancing expertise in real estate legal matters.
  • Demonstrated commercial awareness and ability to assess legal matters in a business context.
  • Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with legal research databases and document management systems.
