Job Description

Our Client is a Leading Insurance Company and they are looking for a Technical Support Engineer. The successful candidates role is to establish and maintain all communication systems and equipment as required by regulations, customers and the company management. This includes systems for communication, computer software and hardware.

Job Responsibilities

  • Undertaking major IT projects
  • Following up with latest technologies and Information-Technology-related legislation
  • Proactively managing the Company‚Äôs needs in terms of software and hardware
  • Closely coordinating with the Head of Departments and managerial staff
  • Installing and configuring computer systems
  • Diagnosing and solving hardware & software faults
  • Participating in the compilation and maintenance of an accurate record of hardware and software
  • Providing daily support to IT-related requests
  • Acting as a liaison and coordinator of all IT-related vendors
  • Acting as a liaison and coordinator of all maintenance vendors (Generator, Air-Conditioners, Lifts, Electricians, etc.)
  • Performing physical monitoring of services provided by all vendors
  • Travelling to company branches, island-wide, as to provide support, when required
  • Participating in training and coaching sessions for Continuous Learning and Development

Requirements

  • Technical school leaving certificate or university degree in Information Technology
  • Knowledge of hardware and peripherals
  • Knowledge of Networking & Cisco Telephony, CCNA Certification will be considered an advantage
  • Windows Server 2008 configuration
  • Knowledge of Java and HTML
  • Knowledge of IT Ticketing will be considered an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar position
